Terms that represent your brand, will help determine your actual brand vs non-brand spend split. You don't need to list every unique term, just your core brand name.

Your estimated profit margin on average for all products you're selling.

This is how much you're willing to spend to acquire a customer, relative to your margin – think of it as a growth vs. profitability dial. If you're unsure, start with 1 (which would be a breakeven return on the item sold). If you already have a specific target incremental ACOS in mind, divide it by your margin to get the value for this input.
  • 0.5 = Strict profitability (if your margin is 25%, 0.5 would make your target ACOS 12.5%)
  • 1 = Break even on ad spend (if your margin is 25%, 1.0 would make your target ACOS 25%)
  • 2–3 = Aggressive growth / strong LTV (if your margin is 25%, 2.5 would make your target ACOS 62.5%)
